The 2013 SRT Viper is one of the most interesting cars launched this year so it's no surprise that it grabbed some attention at Hennessey Performance. The tuner has revealed a rendering of the upcoming upgrade program for the new Viper that will consist of two versions: Venom 700R and Venom 1000 Twin Turbo.
We don't know the prices asked by the Texas-based tuner but we can tell you that the Venom 700R can receive freer-flowing intake and exhaust that lift the output of the V10 8.4-liter from the standard 640 hp (477 kW) and 600 lb-ft (814 Nm) to 725 hp (540 kW) and 695 lb-ft (941 Nm) of torque. This power boost is achieved by reworking the cylinder heads and exhaust system, along with retuning the electronic engine management.
Thanks to the horsepower increase, the Venom 700R is able to perform the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) sprint in 3.1 seconds, on its way to a top speed of 216 mph (347 km/h). It is able to run the quarter mile in 10.7 seconds at 134 mph (215 km/h).
As for the Venom 1000 Twin Turbo, this one brings two turbochargers that increase the engine's output to a whopping 1,120 hp (835 kW) and 1,092 lb-ft (1479 Nm), enough for a 0-62 mph sprint in 2.7 seconds and a quarter mile performance of 9.7 seconds at 152 mph (244 km/h).
